This was opened in l940 and today is recognized as one of the world’s leading war museums, the War Memorial houses intricate displays depicting Australia’s involvement in many conflicts, the Maori Wars in New Zealand, the Boxer Rebellion and Boer War, the Gulf War, to name a few.

Its collection of war relics which include a Lancaster Bomber from the famous Dambuster Rails over Germany during World War II is outstanding.
