Day 1

Alice Springs Town Tour

Arrive in Alice Springs by midday and be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, tour ‘The Alice’, including a visit to the Telegraph Station. From atop Anzac Hill take in the panoramic views over the township and of the MacDonnell Ranges. Visit the School of the Air, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service Base.

Day 2

Camel Farm, Ayers Rock Resort, Atila (Mt Conner), ‘Sounds of Silence’ Desert Dinner

Journey to Uluru (Ayers Rock), stopping en route at the Camel Farm where you can ride a camel (own expense). View Atila in the distance before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Tonight enjoy the ‘Sounds of Silence’ dinner, dining on the finest cuisine in the solitude of the desert. Listen to the didgeridoo as the sun sets. Later enjoy a guided astronomy tour of the night sky.

Day 3

Uluru Sunrise and Sunset, Kata Tjuta (Olgas)

Witness Uluru at sunrise. Walk to the waterhole of Mutitjulu. Join the Mala Walk, as your guide explains the rock art. Alternatively forgo the guided walks and climb Uluru. Journey to Kata Tjuta and walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge. Return to Uluru for a complimentary glass of wine at sunset.

Day 4

Ayers Rock Resort at Leisure, Kings Canyon

This morning is at leisure to enjoy the resort’s facilities or perhaps undertake an optional activity. Travel through the vast desert to the stunning Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park.

Day 5

Kings Canyon Rim Walk, Alice Springs

Join a guided walk around the rim of Kings Canyon for fantastic views of the towering orange walls. The rim walk also features the rock formation of the ‘Lost City’ and the lush waterhole known as the ‘Garden of Eden’. Alternatively, a less strenuous walk is the canyon floor walk. This walk takes you deep into the canyon amid its stunning plant life. En route to Alice Springs, visit Kings Creek Station, a working cattle station. Arrive in Alice Springs at approximately 6.30 p.m.
