Half Day Tour: See the magnificent show of changing colour as the sun’s first rays strike Uluru (Ayers Rock) at sunrise

  • Join the guided Mala Walk, Uluru
  • Visit Kantju Gorge, a sacred waterhole and old hunting ground

Map of Ayers RockEnter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with our compliments as you witness the show of colour as the sun's first rays strike Uluru (Ayers Rock). This world-famous light show is a highlight of any Red Centre visit, watching as the sun's rays creep across the red sand of the desert floor, then begin their ascent of the scarred surface of this great monolith, bathing it in brilliant colour. With the sun climbing the morning sky, join a guided walk to the waterhole at Mutitjulu, viewing ancient cave paintings and learning about the Aboriginal legends of Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming). Continue along the Mala Walk to learn the story of the Mala (Hare Wallaby) people who once lived at Uluru. See painted caves and learn of the region's geology and flora. As you tour the base of Uluru, visit Kantju Gorge, a sacred waterhole and old hunting ground. Visit the Cultural Centre, dedicated to interpreting Anangu culture and law, as well as helping visitors learn about the cultural value of the region. There's also time to visit Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative where you may see Aboriginal artists at work.

Departs Ayers Rock 60 minutes prior to sunrise (Minimum 4 hours of touring)
