One of my favorite walks when staying at Cradle Mountain Lodge is to get them to give me a picnic lunch and walk around Dove Lake.   This is an easy walk, on a wooden pathway, with lovely surroundings.

Last time I was there it was pouring with rain so the lodge loaned me a waterproof jacket and umbrella, and off I went.

Great spot  for canoeing in the summer.
