This is one of my favourite places. About an hour’s drive from Melbourne, and it has olive groves, farms such as strawberries, lavender, wineries, and some great golf courses. It’s hard to play golf when you are playing on top of cliffs with great views.

You could do a lovely day loop, taking the ferry from Sorrento to Queenscliff, then go back to Melbourne via Geelong. Wonderful place to wander around and pick up a picnic lunch while you are at it. Some nice small hotel properties if you had the time to spend a few days.
