Monkey Mia and Shark Bay are off the beaten track but well worth seeing if you want to have the experience of seeing dolphins up close and personal. This is a World Heritage Site.

For almost 30 years three generations of Bottle Nosed Dolphin (Tursiops Truncatus) Have been visiting the beautiful beach at Monkey Mia on the north eastern arm of the Peron Peninsula of Shark Bay to interact with visitors.

Each day these intelligent wild animals return to the beach much to the delight of the many visitors and researchers from around the world. One reason Shark Bay is considered special is the tiny white sea shells found on the beaches.

This is a long day tour – 12 hours. You can fly into Denham if you could stay for a few days. The airport is only 20 miles from Monkey Mia.
