Akaroa is a lovely little village with a nice harbor which was settled in the l800’s by the French. You can take a cruise, swim with the dolphins, and see lots of penguins and seals in the harbor. Some lovely little restaurants and great shopping. If you don’t drive yourself, you can take either a private tour with car and driver, or on a bus with a group. Famous for its cheese factories and wineries.
